A Rude Awakening

With our desire to get involved in our culture, we interviewed these students via video camera. It was quite the interview. I never would have guessed that these people in my own generation would not know a thing about Christianity. They seemed to know a little bit about how a Christian should act, but they really did know anything else.

It is amazing to see that they knew almost nothing of the church getting involved in the community either on campus, or even in their personal lives. All I keep hearing from organizations at Davis and even at Evangelical Free Church of Vestal is that they are truly reaching BU. If they were truly reaching BU, the one guy that we interviewed who knew almost nothing would have at least seen some influence of the church on BU.

The application of this is that we need to reach this vast mission field. There are so many unsaved people at BU. What are we going to do? How long are we really willing to wait to make an impact as church members, or even BU students? We need to get out there and give the gospel to this harvest of unbelief a mile down the road.
